Samsung Galaxy M31 vs M32 in 2022
Samsung Galaxy M31 is all-rounder mobile which was release more than a year ago. Few months back Samsung has released its new variant i.e. Galaxy M32 in same price bracket. Also recently it’s 5G variant is also released by Samsung i.e. Galaxy M32 5G, buts its in higher price range. So lets check out which one is good in 2022 for you, i.e. Samsung Galaxy M31 vs M32 in 2022.
Design & Build
Samsung Galaxy M31 comes with 16.21 cm (6.4”) sAMOLED FHD+ Infinity U Display. Top brightness it can achieve is 420 nits and contrast ratio it offers is 78960:1. In normal terms, it’s good display for media consumption like YouTube Videos, Netflix etc. Visibility in outdoor condition is also good. Screen comes with Gorilla Glass 3.
It offers thickness of 8.9 mm and weight is just 191 g, thus feels very light in hand. Front top offers notch camera & at back you get quad camera setup along with flash. Finger print scanner is also available at back side. Its full plastic build at back, feels premium but it’s finger print magnet, thus putting a case is must. It comes with triple slot sim tray, i.e. dedicated slots for 2 sims and 1 SD card. Also our favourite 3.5 mm jack is provided with this mobile.
Samsung Galaxy M32 offers similar specs with slight differences. It also comes with 16.21 cm (6.4″) sAMOLED FHD+ (1080 x 2400) Infinity U Display, but with 90 Hz refresh rate. Also it excel in brightness department as well with peak brightness of 800 nits, thus no issue with indoor or outdoor use. No official figure mentioned for Contrast ratio. Screen comes with Gorilla Glass 5.
It offers thickness of 9.3 mm and weight is just 196 g, so lightweight in nature. Build is polycarbonate , but comes with stripes, thus feel good in hand. It does not attract finger prints like M31, so plus point in that aspect. Front top have not for camera & back housing have quad camera setup with flash. Finger print scanner is located at side & not at the back. It comes with triple slot sim tray, i.e. dedicated slots for 2 sims and 1 SD card. Also our favourite 3.5 mm jack is provided with this mobile.

Samsung Galaxy M31 & M32 both comes with 6000 mAh battery. Main distinguishing factor here is that M32 supports 25w charging where as M31 only support 15w charging. But surprisingly Samsung still provides only 15w charger for both the devices.
Battery backup it offers is as below. But overall, in normal uses, both mobiles will last one full day without any issue.

Galaxy M31 processor is more power efficient as its built on 10 nm architecture. Also as M32 is latest model, Samsung should have provided higher grade processor instead of current MTK G80. In normal day usage both mobiles will give you same experience. If you are looking for gaming mobile, then both M31 & M32 are not for you. Saying that you can still do casual gaming with low setting, plus 90 Hz refresh rate on M32 will be added advantage.
Out-of-the-box, M31 comes with Android 10 (Upgradable to Android 11) where as M32 comes with Android 11. Both comes with One UI which is tried and tested, fluent in operation.
Camera
Camera is the main area where these devices shows major differences. Camera specifications are as follows.

From above comparison, you can clearly see that in camera department Galaxy M31 excels in specs. In real world camera performance as well, images via M31 & M32 are quite good and subjected to individual likes. But in video department, M31 is clear winner as videos via M32 are limited to 1080p and slow motion is limited to 120 fps. Videos via M32 observed to be little shaky when compared with M31.

Conclusion
Overall, both these devices are very similar in nature. So it drill down to your priorities and requirements i.e. what you want in your mobile. If your priority is display, storage capacity then M32 is the one for you. If you need great overall camera with good video quality then M31 is the one for you. There is a 4 GB model available for M32, but price and future perspective you should consider the 6 GB model only.
